Sit back and enjoy your first glimpse of the Philippines as you make your way into Manila, the nation's bustling capital and gateway to the islands of the Visayas.

Spread across more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines is one of South East Asia's most diverse destinations. While many travellers know the country for its tropical beaches and turquoise waters, it also offers a rich blend of cultures, traditions and histories shaped by centuries of indigenous, Spanish and American influence. Over the coming days, you'll journey through the Visayas, discovering historic cities, island communities, remarkable wildlife and some of the country's most beautiful coastal landscapes.

After checking in, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Relax after your journey or take the opportunity to settle into your surroundings before meeting your fellow travellers this evening.

Tonight, gather for a welcome dinner and tour briefing, offering the perfect opportunity to get to know the group and learn more about the adventure ahead.

    🥘 Dinner
    🛏️ Coro Hotel, Superior Legato

Located in Manila's vibrant Poblacion district, Coro Hotel provides a comfortable and contemporary base for exploring the Philippine capital. Superior Legato rooms are spacious and well appointed, while facilities include a rooftop swimming pool, spa, gym and multiple dining venues. Its central location places you within easy reach of many of Manila's cultural attractions, making it an ideal base for your first two nights in the Philippines.

  • After breakfast, we assemble in the hotel lobby at 9:00am and set out to discover Old and New Manila. As the capital of the Philippines, Manila has long been the political, cultural and commercial heart of the nation. Today's exploration provides an introduction to the country's rich history and the many influences that have shaped modern Filipino identity.

Travelling along Manila Bay, we pass the Cultural Centre of the Philippines before arriving at Rizal Park, one of the country's most important national landmarks. This is where José Rizal, whose writings inspired the Philippine Revolution against Spanish rule, took his final steps before his execution in 1896. Today, the park stands as a powerful symbol of national pride and independence.

A short drive brings us to Fort Santiago, one of Manila's most significant historical sites and the former headquarters of the Spanish colonial government. For centuries, the fort played a central role in the administration and defence of the city. Walking through its gates provides a fascinating insight into Manila's strategic importance during the Spanish colonial era.

Our exploration continues into Intramuros, the historic walled city founded by the Spanish in the sixteenth century. Once the centre of political, religious and military life in the Philippines, Intramuros remains one of the country's most atmospheric districts. We stroll along its cobbled streets while visiting landmarks including Manila Cathedral, Casa Manila and San Agustin Church, each offering a unique perspective on Manila's colonial past and architectural heritage.

We also visit San Agustin Museum and Baluarte de Dilao, where remnants of the city's historic defensive walls and artillery can still be seen today. Despite wars, earthquakes and occupation, many of these sites continue to tell the story of a city that has repeatedly rebuilt and reinvented itself throughout the centuries.

Lunch is included at a local restaurant as part of today's touring and is accompanied by an accredited English speaking guide. Returning to the hotel later this afternoon, the remainder of the evening is at leisure before our journey into the Visayas begins tomorrow.

    🥘 Breakfast, Lunch
    🛏️ Coro Hotel, Superior Legato

Located in Manila's vibrant Poblacion district, Coro Hotel provides a comfortable contemporary base for exploring the Philippine capital. The hotel features a rooftop swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and multiple dining venues, while Superior Legato rooms offer a spacious and well appointed retreat after a day discovering Manila's historic and cultural landmarks.

  • After breakfast and check out, we transfer to the domestic terminal for our flight south to Dumaguete, marking the beginning of our exploration of the Visayas. Leaving behind the energy of Manila, we journey to Negros Oriental, a province known for its coastal scenery, marine biodiversity and relaxed pace of life.

Situated on the south eastern coast of Negros Island, Negros Oriental is bordered by the waters of the Bohol Sea and is renowned for its natural beauty. The province combines scenic coastlines with forested mountains, waterfalls and marine sanctuaries, creating a landscape that attracts divers, nature lovers and travellers seeking a quieter side of the Philippines.

At the heart of the province lies Dumaguete, often referred to as the "City of Gentle People". Home to several universities and a picturesque seaside boulevard, the city is known for its friendly atmosphere and laid back character. It also serves as the gateway to Apo Island, one of the country's most important marine sanctuaries and tomorrow's destination.

While Dumaguete itself is known for its relaxed atmosphere and waterfront setting, Negros Oriental extends well beyond the city limits. Waterfalls, mountain landscapes, hot springs and protected natural areas are found throughout the province, while the surrounding coastline provides access to some of the Philippines' most celebrated marine environments.

Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel and check in. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure, providing time to relax after our flight, enjoy the hotel facilities or take a stroll along Dumaguete's waterfront before tomorrow's excursion to Apo Island.

    🥘 Breakfast
🛏️ UNWND Boutique Hotel, Luxury King

Our home for the next two nights is UNWND Boutique Hotel, a contemporary property located close to Dumaguete's famous Rizal Boulevard. Combining modern design with a relaxed coastal atmosphere, the hotel features spacious rooms, a swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Its convenient location provides easy access to the city's waterfront, cafés and restaurants, making it an ideal base from which to explore Negros Oriental.

  • After breakfast, we depart at 8:00am for one of the Philippines' most celebrated marine environments. A 30 minute drive south of Dumaguete brings us to Malatapay, where we board a traditional pump boat for the short journey across to Apo Island, a small volcanic island renowned for its protected marine sanctuary and exceptional marine biodiversity.

Despite its modest size, Apo Island has earned an international reputation for marine conservation. The waters surrounding the island are home to vibrant coral reefs, abundant tropical fish and a resident population of sea turtles that are frequently encountered by visitors. Community led conservation efforts have helped protect these waters for decades, making Apo Island one of the country's most successful marine reserves.

Upon arrival, we have the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the island's crystal clear waters, with the chance to observe sea turtles and other marine life in their natural environment. Those looking for a little more activity may wish to tackle part of the Habagat Trail, a short walk that rewards us with sweeping views across the coastline and marine sanctuary below.

A picnic lunch is included on the island before we enjoy time at leisure. We may choose to swim, beachcomb along the white pebble shoreline or simply relax and enjoy the slower pace of island life. Away from the larger cities and resort centres, Apo Island offers a glimpse into a simpler side of the Philippines where daily life remains closely connected to the sea.

Later this afternoon, we return by boat to the mainland before transferring back to Dumaguete. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the facilities of our hotel.

    🥘 Breakfast, Lunch
🛏️ UNWND Boutique Hotel, Luxury King

Our home for a second night is UNWND Boutique Hotel, a contemporary property located close to Dumaguete's famous Rizal Boulevard. Combining modern design with a relaxed coastal atmosphere, the hotel features stylish accommodation, a swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Its convenient location makes it an excellent base for exploring Negros Oriental while enjoying the laid back character of Dumaguete.

  • After breakfast and check out, we transfer to Dumaguete Seaport for our ferry journey to Siquijor. Taking around one hour, the crossing provides our first taste of inter-island travel, an essential part of life in the Philippines and one of the best ways to experience the country's vast archipelago.

Known as the "Island of Fire", Siquijor is one of the most intriguing destinations in the Visayas. Spanish explorers gave the island its name, Isla de Fuegos, after witnessing the glow of countless fireflies illuminating the island's molave trees at night. Today, Siquijor remains a place where natural beauty and local folklore sit side by side, creating an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the Philippines.

While the island is renowned for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters and marine sanctuaries, it is perhaps equally famous for its centuries old healing traditions. Herbal remedies, spiritual rituals and local healers continue to form part of the island's cultural identity, contributing to the mystique that has surrounded Siquijor for generations.

Upon arrival, we are met and transferred to our hotel. After checking in, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps enjoy a stroll along the beach, relax by the pool or simply settle into island life as we prepare to explore Siquijor more fully tomorrow.

    🥘 Breakfast
🛏️ Coco Grove Beach Resort, Deluxe Garden View

Our home for the next two nights is Coco Grove Beach Resort, one of Siquijor's most established beachfront properties. Set amongst tropical gardens overlooking a beautiful stretch of coastline, the resort offers spacious accommodation, multiple swimming pools, restaurants and direct access to the beach. Its relaxed atmosphere and idyllic island setting make it an ideal base for discovering the natural beauty and unique character of Siquijor.

  • After breakfast, we assemble in the hotel lobby at 9:00am and set out to explore Siquijor, one of the Visayas' most fascinating islands. Known as the "Island of Fire", Siquijor earned its name from Spanish explorers who were captivated by the glow of fireflies illuminating the island's molave trees at night. Today, the island remains known for its beautiful coastline, rich folklore and centuries old healing traditions.

Our first stops introduce us to the island's cultural heritage, beginning with the historic St Francis of Assisi Bell Tower and the refreshing waters of San Juan de Capilay Spring. We then continue to the famous Balete Tree, one of Siquijor's most recognisable landmarks. Surrounded by local legends and traditional healing practices, the centuries old tree has become a symbol of the island's unique identity and enduring mystique.

Continuing around the island, we visit the historic San Isidro de Labrador Church and Convent in Lazi. Built during the Spanish colonial period, the complex remains one of the most significant heritage sites in the Visayas and offers a fascinating insight into the island's religious and architectural history.

A highlight of the day is our visit to Cambugahay Falls. Descending more than 300 steps, we arrive at a series of beautiful turquoise pools and cascading waterfalls hidden amongst lush tropical vegetation. There is time to enjoy a refreshing swim, relax beside the water or simply take in one of Siquijor's most picturesque natural settings. A picnic lunch is served here as part of the tour before we continue our exploration of the island.

Accompanied throughout the day by our accredited English speaking guide, we gain a deeper appreciation for Siquijor's natural beauty, culture and traditions before returning to our resort later this afternoon. The remainder of the evening is at leisure.

    🥘 Breakfast, Lunch
🛏️ Coco Grove Beach Resort, Deluxe Garden View

Set amongst tropical gardens beside a beautiful stretch of coastline, Coco Grove Beach Resort is one of Siquijor's most established and highly regarded resorts. The property offers spacious accommodation, multiple swimming pools, restaurants and direct beach access, creating a relaxed island retreat from which to explore the island's natural and cultural attractions.

  • This morning begins with an early start as we farewell Siquijor and continue our journey through the Visayas. After breakfast and check out, we assemble in the hotel lobby at 7:00am and transfer to Siquijor Seaport for our ferry crossing to Bohol.

The two hour journey takes us across the Bohol Sea to Tagbilaran, the provincial capital of Bohol. Upon arrival, we are met by our local representative and transferred to Panglao Island, our base for the next three nights and one of the Philippines' most popular coastal destinations.

Located in the heart of the Visayas, Bohol is renowned for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and laid back island atmosphere. Beyond its famous beaches, the island is home to centuries old churches, rolling countryside, unique wildlife and some of the country's most recognisable natural attractions. The province also includes a collection of smaller offshore islands, many of which are surrounded by vibrant coral reefs and rich marine ecosystems.

Bohol occupies an important place in Philippine history. It was here in 1565 that the Blood Compact between Rajah Sikatuna and Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi was conducted, an event often regarded as one of the earliest recorded treaties of friendship between Filipinos and Europeans. Today, reminders of the island's long history can still be found throughout its towns, churches and rural communities.

Among Bohol's most famous attractions are the Chocolate Hills, a landscape of more than 1,200 limestone hills that transform from green to brown during the dry season. The island is also home to the Philippine tarsier, one of the world's smallest primates and an animal found only in South East Asia.

After checking in, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Relax by the beach, enjoy the resort facilities or simply settle into island life before tomorrow's exploration of Bohol's countryside.

    🥘 Breakfast
🛏️ Bohol Beach Club, Deluxe Room

Our home for the next three nights is Bohol Beach Club, a beachfront resort set along the white sands of Panglao Island. Surrounded by tropical gardens and overlooking clear turquoise waters, the resort offers spacious accommodation, swimming pools, restaurants and direct beach access. Its relaxed atmosphere and waterfront location make it an ideal base from which to discover the natural and cultural highlights of Bohol.

  • After breakfast, we assemble in the hotel lobby at 9:00am and set out to discover some of Bohol's most celebrated cultural and natural attractions. Today's journey takes us through rural villages, historic landmarks and scenic countryside, providing a deeper understanding of one of the Philippines' most fascinating islands.

Our exploration begins with a visit to Baclayon Church, one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. Constructed from coral stone and built by hundreds of labourers during the Spanish colonial era, the church remains one of the country's most important religious and historical landmarks. Despite surviving earthquakes and centuries of change, it continues to play an important role in local community life.

We then continue to the Tarsier Sanctuary, where we have the opportunity to learn about one of the Philippines' most unique animals. The Philippine tarsier is among the world's smallest primates, recognised for its enormous eyes and nocturnal habits. Here, we gain insight into the efforts being made to protect this remarkable species and its habitat.

Travelling further into the countryside, the landscape gradually changes as coconut plantations, mahogany forests and traditional villages line our route. A highlight of the day is our visit to the Chocolate Hills, one of the most recognisable natural landmarks in the Philippines. Consisting of more than 1,200 grass covered limestone hills, the landscape takes on a chocolate brown appearance during the dry season, creating one of the country's most distinctive views.

Lunch is served as part of a cruise along the Loboc River, where we enjoy traditional Boholano cuisine while drifting through tropical scenery. Along the way, local musicians and cultural performances add to the experience, providing a glimpse into the traditions and hospitality of the region.

Accompanied throughout the day by our accredited English speaking guide, we return to Panglao Island later this afternoon. The remainder of the evening is at leisure.

    🥘 Breakfast, Lunch
🛏️ Bohol Beach Club, Deluxe Room

Set along a beautiful stretch of white sand beach on Panglao Island, Bohol Beach Club combines a relaxed tropical atmosphere with comfortable modern facilities. Surrounded by landscaped gardens and overlooking clear coastal waters, the resort features spacious rooms, swimming pools, restaurants and direct beach access, providing an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of Bohol.

  • Today begins early as we set out in search of some of the remarkable marine life that inhabits the waters surrounding Bohol. We assemble in the hotel lobby at 6:00am and transfer to the departure point for our excursion to Pamilacan Island. For those who prefer, a packed breakfast can be arranged before departure.

Boarding a traditional motorised outrigger boat, we head into the waters southeast of Tagbilaran. The area is renowned for its rich marine biodiversity and offers some of the best opportunities in the Philippines to observe dolphins and whales in their natural environment. Accompanying us are local spotters, many of whom once worked as whale hunters before conservation initiatives transformed the community's relationship with these magnificent animals.

Patience is often rewarded on today's excursion. Several species of dolphin, including the playful spinner dolphin, are regularly seen in these waters, while a number of whale species migrate through the region at different times of the year. The experience offers a unique opportunity to appreciate these animals in the wild while learning about the conservation efforts that now help protect them.

Around midday, we continue to Pamilacan Island, a small island community surrounded by clear tropical waters and coral reefs. A picnic lunch is included before we have time to explore the island, learn about local life or enjoy the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters.

Pamilacan was once known for its whale hunting traditions, but today the island has become an example of how tourism and conservation can work together to support local communities. The slower pace of life and strong connection to the sea provide a fascinating insight into a different side of the Philippines.

Later this afternoon, we return to Bohol and transfer back to our resort. The evening is at leisure.

  • After breakfast and check out, we assemble in the hotel lobby at 8:30am and transfer to Tagbilaran Seaport for our ferry journey to Cebu. Taking approximately two hours, the crossing provides another opportunity to experience the interconnected nature of the Philippine archipelago, where ferries remain an essential part of everyday life and travel between islands.

Upon arrival in Cebu, we are met by our local representatives and begin a half day introduction to the island's capital. Known as the "Queen City of the South", Cebu occupies an important place in Philippine history and is widely regarded as the birthplace of Christianity in the country. It was here in 1521 that Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan arrived, marking a pivotal chapter in the history of the Philippines.

Strategically positioned at the centre of the Visayas, Cebu has long been an important trading hub. Its deep natural harbour attracted merchants from across Asia for centuries, helping establish the city as one of the country's most significant commercial and cultural centres. Today, Cebu balances its rich history with a modern and dynamic character, serving as both a gateway to the Visayas and one of the Philippines' most prosperous cities.

As part of today's touring, we explore some of Cebu's main sightseeing attractions and gain insight into the city's evolution from colonial outpost to thriving modern metropolis. Landmarks such as Magellan's Cross, the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and Fort San Pedro help tell the story of Cebu's important role in Philippine history and the cultural influences that continue to shape the city today.

Lunch is included at a local restaurant before we continue our exploration with our accredited English speaking guide. Later this afternoon, we transfer to our resort and check in.

The remainder of the evening is at leisure. Perhaps take a stroll along the beach, enjoy the resort facilities or simply relax as we settle into our final destination in the Visayas.

    🥘 Breakfast, Lunch
🛏️ Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel, Deluxe Poolside

Our home for the next three nights is Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel, a long established beachfront resort located on Mactan Island. Set amongst tropical gardens overlooking the sea, the resort combines traditional Filipino design with modern comforts. Facilities include swimming pools, restaurants, a private beach area and spacious guest rooms, creating a relaxing base from which to explore Cebu and the surrounding islands.

  • Today begins early as we depart Cebu's coastline and travel south to Moalboal, one of the Philippines' most celebrated marine destinations. We assemble in the hotel lobby at 6:00am for our transfer, with the journey taking approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. A packed breakfast option is available before departure.

Moalboal has earned an international reputation for its remarkable marine life and accessible snorkelling. Just a short distance from the shoreline, enormous schools of sardines gather in their millions, creating one of the Philippines' most extraordinary natural spectacles. Unlike many marine encounters that require long boat journeys, the famous sardine run can often be experienced close to shore, allowing us to observe this fascinating phenomenon from the water.

The surrounding waters are also rich in marine biodiversity. During our time in Moalboal, there may be opportunities to encounter sea turtles and a variety of tropical fish that inhabit the coral reefs of the region. Nearby Pescador Island is particularly renowned for its healthy coral ecosystems and abundant marine life, contributing to Moalboal's reputation as one of the country's premier snorkelling and diving destinations.

Later, we continue to Kawasan Falls, one of the Philippines' most photographed natural attractions. Hidden amongst lush tropical vegetation near the town of Badian, the falls are known for their striking turquoise waters and series of natural pools. Reaching the falls involves a short walk through the surrounding forest, offering a welcome opportunity to experience a different side of Cebu beyond its coastline and beaches.

Lunch is included as part of today's excursion before we begin our journey back to Cebu. Accompanied by our accredited English speaking guide, today's adventure combines two of the Visayas' most memorable natural experiences, showcasing both the marine and inland landscapes that make this region so rewarding to explore.

Returning to our resort later this afternoon, the remainder of the evening is at leisure.

    🥘 Breakfast, Lunch

With direct beach access, swimming pools, restaurants and comfortable guest rooms, the resort offers an ideal setting to unwind while enjoying the final days of our journey through the Visayas.

  • After several days of exploring islands, historic sites and marine environments, today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. With no scheduled touring, there is an opportunity to slow down and experience a different side of Cebu, whether that means relaxing by the coast or venturing out to discover more of the island independently.

For those wishing to make the most of their time in Cebu, a range of optional activities are available. Perhaps spend the day enjoying the beaches and facilities of Mactan Island, indulge in a spa treatment, or explore local cafés and restaurants. Those interested in marine life may wish to arrange additional snorkelling or diving excursions, while others may prefer to visit local markets, shopping precincts or cultural attractions within Cebu City.

This is also an ideal opportunity to simply unwind. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, relax beside the pool, take a walk along the beach or settle in with a good book overlooking the water. After the active pace of the previous days, many travellers appreciate the chance to recharge before the journey home.

This evening, we come together for a farewell dinner to reflect on the experiences shared throughout our journey across the Visayas. From the historic streets of Manila and the marine sanctuary of Apo Island to the waterfalls of Siquijor and the coastal beauty of Bohol and Cebu, it is a chance to celebrate the friendships formed and memories created along the way.

For those flying internationally via Manila, we take a domestic flight back to the Philippine capital, where local representatives will be on hand to assist with the transfer between terminals before your international departure. Guests departing directly from Cebu can continue with their onward flight arrangements from Mactan International Airport.

Over the past thirteen days, we have travelled through the heart of the Philippines, exploring historic cities, tropical islands, marine sanctuaries and coastal communities across the Visayas. From the colonial heritage of Manila and the laid back atmosphere of Dumaguete to the waterfalls of Siquijor, the landscapes of Bohol and the coastline of Cebu, the journey has revealed the diversity and character of one of South East Asia's most rewarding destinations.

  • Yes. Due to the domestic flights included within this itinerary, each traveller is permitted 20kg of checked baggage and 7kg of carry on baggage.

As this journey includes domestic flights, ferry crossings and multiple hotel stays, we recommend travelling with a medium sized suitcase rather than oversized luggage. Travellers must be able to manage and carry their own luggage throughout the tour, including between airports, ferry terminals, hotels and vehicles where required.

Additional baggage may be permitted by airlines, however any excess baggage charges are the responsibility of the traveller.

If you anticipate travelling with sporting equipment, oversized luggage or require additional baggage allowances, please contact us prior to departure for advice.

  • This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Children 12 years and above are subject to the adult price and must be accompanied by an adult.

  • No. All tips for guides, drivers, hotel staff and included services are covered as part of your tour price.

While additional gratuities are always appreciated for exceptional service, there is no expectation to tip during the tour and no need to budget for compulsory tipping.

This allows you to relax and enjoy the experience knowing that gratuities for included services have already been taken care of.

  • Accommodation throughout the tour has been carefully selected to reflect the character and diversity of the destinations we visit. Over the course of the journey, we stay in a combination of comfortable 4-star hotels, boutique properties and beachfront resorts, each chosen for their location, atmosphere and quality of service.

Highlights include the contemporary Coro Hotel in Manila, the stylish UNWND Boutique Hotel in Dumaguete, the beachfront Coco Grove Beach Resort in Siquijor, Bohol Beach Club on Panglao Island and Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel in Cebu. These properties provide a balance of comfort, local character and excellent access to the destinations we explore.

Room categories are based on twin share occupancy unless a single supplement is selected. All properties offer private ensuite facilities, air conditioning and modern amenities, while many also feature swimming pools, restaurants, tropical gardens and beachfront locations.

While standards may differ slightly from place to place, each property has been selected to complement the experience of travelling through the Visayas and provide a comfortable and relaxing base throughout the journey.
